The Merwitz Process

All of the exquisite work is made by hand and color matched using a unique method of spoon dying on site.

All Merwitz trims are made-to-order according to client's specifications.

The fibers used are generally spun rayon; although wool, cotton and silk are also used.

Tassels work is all done by hand. A small staff sits at tables, meticulously hand-tying tiny tassels from spun rayon, wool, cotton and silks onto trims woven on the looms.

Turn-around time is four to six weeks. Merwitz is known for its prompt delivery and if a job can't be done in the time required, it won't be accepted.
